Privacy Policy

What we collect

We only collect what you actively give us, plus aggregate usage statistics.

• Contact and membership forms. Your name, email address, current role, company, stated area of interest and anything you write in the free-text field.
• Aggregate usage data. Page views, referrer, approximate country, device type and performance timings, collected in a cookieless and anonymised form. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell data.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider records IP address and request metadata for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels or cross-site trackers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Why we use it, and on what basis

• To respond to you and assess membership applications — on the basis of steps taken at your request prior to entering an agreement, and your consent in submitting the form.
• To match candidates and companies within our network, and to invite you to relevant events — on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a recruitment and community business.
• To keep the site working and secure — on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and improving the service.

We will never share your details with a hiring company without telling you first and obtaining your agreement for that specific introduction.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors to run the site: a hosting and analytics provider, and an email delivery provider that forwards form submissions to us. They process data on our instructions only. Some are located outside Switzerland and the EEA; where that is the case, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and applications are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and, where you have joined the network, for the duration of your membership plus two years. Aggregate analytics are retained in anonymised form. Ask us to delete your data at any time and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, if you are in the EU or EEA, the GDPR, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our use of it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.

Use the contact form to exercise any of these and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or to your local supervisory authority in the EU.

Security and changes

The site is served over HTTPS and access to submissions is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
